About the Role

This role is critical for driving the AI-first transformation of our IT operations. You will own the tools, workflows, and systems that enable a lean IT team to support a growing company, focusing on automation, identity and access architecture, and ensuring employees have the necessary resources from day one. A strong AI mindset is essential, as you will be expected to leverage AI tools before traditional methods.

Responsibilities

Drive ticket deflection from manual resolution toward AI-assisted and self-service resolution using Serval.
Evaluate and pilot Serval Journeys or equivalent tooling to automate onboarding and offboarding provisioning workflows.
Build and maintain automations across Claude, Notion, and Slackbot to reduce manual IT work.
Own provisioning and de-provisioning across the SaaS stack, ensuring accurate and timely access granting and revocation.
Lead the Rippling integration for directory sync to automatically provision the correct tech stack to employees based on manager, title, and department.
Administer Google Workspace, including user lifecycle, groups, security settings, and daily support.
Administer Iru MDM across macOS, iPadOS, and Windows, enforcing EDR fleet-wide.
Own procurement and asset lifecycle management, including hardware purchasing, deployment, tracking, and retirement.
Ensure day-one readiness for new hires by provisioning all required tools and access before their start date.
Provide direct help desk support to back up the Onsite IT Support Specialist during peak times or absences.
Own and build out IT process documentation in Notion/Serval to centralize institutional knowledge.
Collaborate daily with the Director of IT and the Onsite IT Support Specialist as a coordinated three-person team.

Requirements

5-10 years in IT engineering, systems administration, or a similar hands-on IT role.
Deep experience with Google Workspace administration at the org level.
Experience managing an MDM platform (Kandji, Jamf, Intune, or similar) across multiple operating systems, with EDR.
Track record of building automations that replace manual work using code or no-code tools.
Operate with extreme ownership, taking projects from start to finish with minimal guidance.
Possess a security mindset for identity, access, and device management.
Write clearly and integrate documentation into the workflow.
Comfortable being one of three people responsible for IT at an entire company.
