About the Role
As a Facility Safety and Prevention Specialist, you will monitor surveillance, train staff on safety procedures, conduct building audits, assist with de-escalation, monitor facility access, and ensure security compliance with law enforcement.
Responsibilities
- Monitor video surveillance for any unusual or suspicious activity within and around the facility.
- Educate and train staff on proper safety and security procedures.
- Perform regulatory building audits, tickets, and inspections.
- Maintain reports and tracking systems to provide a safe and healthy environment for all patients and staff by maintaining regulatory and code requirements.
- Assist on-site staff with de-escalation of patients, visitors, volunteers, vendors, and employees.
- Monitor foot traffic in and out of the facility ensuring all personnel are authorized to enter.
- Communicate with local law enforcement about any incidents and ensure local and federal security compliance.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two years of relevant experience required.
- Leadership and ability to act in crisis.
- Must have holiday availability.
- Stationary posture, alternating between standing and sitting.
- Ascending/descending on various structures (e.g. ladders).
- Lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
- Mobility required involving repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements.
- Exposure to various environmental conditions including low/high temperatures, and outdoor elements.
