About the Role

Perform a variety of inspections on materials, precision machined components, and electrical-mechanical assemblies to ensure compliance with requirements. Utilize a wide assortment of measuring instruments, including hand tools, gauges, vision equipment, and CMM. Prepare quality documentation for final shipments per customer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections using gauging and equipment to ensure conformance to visual and dimensional drawing requirements.
  • Operate inspection equipment such as profilometer, optical comparator, height gauge, microscope, smart scope, and CMM.
  • Perform incoming and receiving inspections to specified requirements.
  • Perform inspection of finished details and assemblies to specified requirements.
  • Perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) analysis.
  • Enter inspection results into data collection tools and databases.
  • Inspect welded and brazed assemblies, requiring internal certification of weld inspection.
  • Maintain accurate records and quality documentation.
  • Perform inventory movement transactions in the ERP system and ensure product traceability.
  • Manage the non-conforming material process to ensure material control.
  • Communicate effectively with Quality, Supplier Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.
  • Write clear material rejection reports including problem statements, dimensions, and data.
  • Retrieve test data from databases and assemble documentation packages for product shipment.
  • Utilize customer websites and requirements for document assembly and DSQR.
  • Use Syteline (ERP System) to retrieve quality requirements and perform product movement tasks.
  • Manage the return material process, assembling parts and documentation for customer shipment.
  • Perform assigned tasks by the Inspection department Supervisor or Quality Manager.
  • Support the Company Quality Policy.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and use micrometers and other hand instruments.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) principles and their application.
  • Basic Statistical Process Control and Statistical Fundamentals.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Visual Acuity mandatory (ability to visually identify color variations and capsule/tablet irregularities).
  • Flexible availability for shift assignments.
  • Competent in Microsoft Windows-Office and EXCEL applications.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull packages up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to work standing for long periods.

Salary/Compensations

  • $18.00 - $30.00 per hour based on experience
