About the Role

The Education Coordinator will provide complex administrative assistance in support of Medical Education within the Department of Medical Oncology and Hematology at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. This role involves working closely with leadership and administrative personnel to manage educational programs.

Responsibilities

  • Fellowship and staff physician scheduling and administration
  • Provide information and support to potential, incoming, and current fellows
  • Coordinate and support meetings and events, including grand rounds
  • Maintain written and/or electronic calendar/schedules
  • Maintain and modify electronic and paper information filing/retrieval systems
  • Perform routine budgetary support functions
  • Perform other related clerical activities
  • Perform cross-functional responsibilities as assigned
  • Perform other duties consistent with the job classification
  • Build relationships with individuals at various levels across the medical community
  • Act as liaison with various groups of stakeholders
  • Assist physicians in program-related duties
  • Assist in the preparation of annual reports
  • Coordinate activities associated with the preparation of education initiatives
  • Provide administrative assistance with all aspects of the implementation and maintenance of the DMOH Education Office

Requirements

  • University Bachelor degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in a health research related and/or educational environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in program administration
  • Experience in event planning and meeting coordination
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work independently
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner
  • Produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance with UHN standards
  • Client service oriented
  • Satisfactory attendance record
  • Current UHN employees must have successfully completed their probationary period, have a good employee record along with satisfactory attendance in accordance with UHN's attendance management program, to be eligible for consideration
