About the Role
Maintain ongoing participation in the daily operation of the program through the provision of various clinical and therapeutic activities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing established program policies, mission, and procedures related to client services.
- Provide treatment services to assigned clients.
- Manage quality improvements and utilization review for SJMC/OTP.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and track Quality Improvement activity for SJMC/OTP.
- Prepare for program recertification, surveys, and audits.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies by assisting in preparation for and participation in audits and surveys (e.g., OASAS, JCAHO, etc.).
- Ensure excellence in clinical practice and patient care delivery by monitoring the implementation of the department’s QI Plan.
- Ensure appropriate utilization of opioid treatment resources by monitoring and reviewing admissions and discharges of all OTP clients.
- Provide Utilization Review and Quality Improvement Training to staff.
- Perform unannounced random chart reviews of all OTP to ensure quality and compliance with state, federal, and hospital regulations.
- Maintain confidentiality of all client information as required by law.
- Work with patients appropriate to the agency setting regarding age and special populations.
- Maintain knowledge of OASAS regulations and healthcare developments.
- Maintain all applicable certificates and licensure.
- Maintain current knowledge of reimbursement methods (managed care, Medicaid, commercial insurance).
- Work as a team player to enhance the program.
- Represent the agency with an ethical, fair, and positive attitude.
- Assist in supervising clinical staff as assigned.
- Facilitate and lead peer supervision.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- CASAC Required
- Preferred LMSW/LCSW/LMHC
- Two (2) or more years’ experience in Alcoholism or Substance Abuse Treatment.
- Knowledge with Opioid Treatment/MMTP modalities and/or 822 clinic modalities.
