About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preliminary checks and necessary analyses to assess the creditworthiness and risk level of a buyer or transaction based on financial standing, economic conditions, and payment terms.
  • Evaluate new credit applications.
  • Analyze and comment on developments in sectors, markets, and portfolios.
  • Adhere to recognized credit standards for documentation, conduct credit analyses, and recommend appropriate decisions.
  • Prepare credit documents and present recommendations to the relevant delegate.
  • Proactively share knowledge to provide superior service to sector teams, internal partners, and clients.
  • Stay informed about general credit insurance underwriting practices.
  • Ensure compliance with data integrity rules.
  • Continuously bring new ideas for improvement to EDC by collaborating with colleagues, clients, and key intermediaries.
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects related to processes and other improvements.
  • Manage files of increasing complexity, autonomy, and visibility, ranging from supporting routine transactions with advice at level 15, to independently processing standard or moderately complex work at levels 16 and 17, to leading and advising on more complex or irregular transactions at level 18.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of credit risk management principles and practices.
  • Strong background in reading and interpreting financial statements with excellent financial analysis skills.
  • Valuable experience in conducting increasingly complex commercial credit transactions across various industries and international markets.
