Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct care personnel on the shift, ensuring adherence to professional care standards and compliance with Title 22 regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to the care team and address challenging cases.
- May make changes to the schedule and staff work assignments in case of absenteeism at the direction of health services management.
- Check-in with residents and care staff during shift to ensure proper care is being given.
- Supervise the administration, monitoring, and recording of prescribed medications given to residents.
- Provide one-on-one support for medication administration if needed.
- Maintain regular communication with physicians and family members regarding changes in residents' physical health or needs, ensuring confidentiality.
- Follow up on reported changes on medication conditions, making assessments, and reporting any changes in behavior or medical conditions to physicians.
- Respond to emergency calls, assess residents' behavior, and contact 911 if necessary.
- Perform health assessments, Subcutaneous injections, treat wounds and pressure injuries, and other treatments and medications as needed within the scope of the LVN license.
Requirements
- Must undergo a Physical exam and Tuberculosis Screening, resulting in a negative TB diagnosis prior to employment.
- Must obtain clearance or exemption approval from the Department of Social Services following FBI and DOJ livescan background check prior to employment.
