About the Role

Independently leads projects within Default Servicing (Customer Asset Management - CAM) and represents these areas in high-visibility cross-functional projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior resource in a defined area of CAM, representing business practices and interests in various projects.
• Interact with business partners across multiple platforms to leverage technology and system enhancements, representing inclusive needs for default servicing.
• Develop and produce mid-complexity departmental reports and spreadsheets, including strategy, historical, workflow, and financial analyses.
• Conduct complex analysis and judgment-based work across multiple disciplines to support CAM decisions.
• Perform complex data review, research, and reconciliation for assigned CAM areas.
• Lead the drafting and/or editing of procedures for assigned CAM functional areas.
• Lead support for departmental audits, including user certifications and compliance testing.
• Manage the planning, testing, and implementation of new projects, systems, products, and regulatory changes impacting CAM teams.
• Lead departmental system support, coordinating with internal business partners, external vendors, and Technology to address issues.
• Provide functional system knowledge to colleagues within CAM.
• Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls.
• Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit points and regulatory issues.
• Complete other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years’ related experience, or a combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years’ related experience.
• Experience in collections and/or default servicing.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency with personal computers and pertinent word processing and spreadsheet software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
