About the Role
Oneida Health is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the Med-Surg floor. This role involves coordinating patient care, performing specialized nursing services, and supervising LPNs and support staff. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a kind and considerate approach to patient care.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care
- Perform nursing services requiring specialized judgment and skills
- Supervise LPNs and related support nursing staff
- Identify patient needs and provide care
- Work as a team player
- Keep neat records and prepare reports in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean and healthy environment in accordance with quality standards
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exhibit a customer service attitude when interacting with patients and families
- Utilize organizational skills for supplies and equipment
- Remain calm and professional in crisis and emergent situations
- Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills for electronic records management systems
Requirements
- Associate of Nursing (Required)
- Bachelor’s of Nursing (Preferred)
- New York RN License (Required)
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- 1 year of nursing experience (Preferred)
