About the Role

Suno is seeking a Senior People Partner to serve as a strategic partner to a function or senior leader and their team. You will shape organizational design, talent strategy, and performance systems, bringing valuable judgment to help senior leaders build teams that can keep pace with Suno's growth. This role is for someone who views People work as performance architecture, not administration, and whose presence measurably improves leader and team operations.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to leaders and their teams, shaping org design, workforce planning, and talent strategy, and making tradeoff decisions to balance people and business priorities.
  • Lead complex employee relations matters and high-stakes performance situations from start to finish, guiding leaders with care, candor, and compliance.
  • Design and adapt company-wide talent development programs from first principles, iterating openly and collaborating with external partners as needed. Manage program investments and measure their impact on employees.
  • Coach leaders and managers through team scaling, reorganizations, and performance complexities, challenging their assumptions and operating comfortably without a defined playbook.
  • Build and maintain tools, models, and resources in Excel and Claude using workforce data, sentiment, talent reviews, and external research to identify capability gaps, workforce costs, and succession risks. Diagnose root causes and deliver lasting solutions.
  • Proactively build cross-functional relationships, earning trust through presence and mentoring less experienced People Partners with a blend of competitive drive and camaraderie to elevate the entire team.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience as a People Partner, with demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders in a high-growth tech environment.
  • Proven track record of independently leading complex employee relations investigations and high-stakes performance situations.
  • Sophistication in organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategy.
  • Strong understanding of US employment law, including Title VII, ADA, and FMLA; comfortable operating with independence and sound judgment at the senior leadership level.
  • Proven ability to translate company-wide People frameworks into a specific function's context without losing the original intent.
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools and motivation to build AI-enhanced People workflows.
  • Strong Excel skills and analytical fluency with People data. Ability to build and interpret own models.
  • Project management skills and a proven record of executing and building initiatives on the go.
  • Experience building or significantly improving a People program (e.g., performance management, career progression, compensation) with a desire to own such builds.
  • Experience partnering with Finance on headcount budgeting and workforce modeling.
  • Track record of leading complex, cross-functional programs end-to-end, managing multiple workstreams and competing deadlines.
  • Experience designing or scaling learning and development or talent management programs.
  • Familiarity with California employment law.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% to collaborate with team members across Suno office locations.
