About the Role
As a product manager at Ambrook, you will shape product decisions and influence the company's direction, aiming to make agriculture more sustainable and profitable. You will report directly to the co-founder and Head of Product.
Responsibilities
- Own product direction and execution for core components of our AI-native financial institution.
- Drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Teach best practices in product and project management, product prioritization frameworks, and data fluency.
- Learn the intricacies of building a climate tech company for American industry SMBs.
- Improve product processes, feedback loops, iteration speed, and product quality measurement.
- Familiarize yourself with Ambrook's product and research repository within the first month.
- Embed yourself in understanding farm finance and customer needs.
- Establish relationships with cross-functional peers.
- Join meetings with producers and contribute to product prioritization.
- Lead a pod of engineers and designers in feature development and measurement.
- Shadow product onboarding calls and build product expertise.
- Visit customers on-location to build product instincts within three months.
- Own the roadmap and strategy for a significant product area.
- Drive product decisions using customer insights, quantitative data, and product intuition.
- Partner with engineering to define actionable product requirements.
- Write and report on your pod's OKRs.
- Lead product onboarding calls.
- Define and execute a compelling product direction within six months.
- Deliver best-in-class product experiences and maintain a roadmap of future features.
- Propose business expansions and participate in planning.
- Champion customer-centricity and data-driven decision-making.
- Get involved in hiring and growing the team.
- Write about your experience on Ambrook's company blog.
Requirements
- Multiple years of PM experience working with dedicated engineering teams to ship impactful products.
- Experience in early-stage or high-growth environments is ideal.
- Strong product sense with the ability to synthesize cross-functional input, customer feedback, and data into decisions.
- Comfortable applying and articulating frameworks for decision-making.
- Fluent with SQL and Excel; comfortable pulling data, building dashboards, and measuring success.
- Fluent with using AI tools for writing and data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communicator.
- Ability to articulate a product vision and align stakeholders.
- Ability to produce high-quality product requirements documents quickly.
- Ability to keep up with a startup's pace.
- Thrives in ambiguity and turns abstract challenges into actionable solutions.
- Track record of delivering results on time while balancing scope, priorities, and dependencies.
- Bonus: Experience in accounting, fintech, and/or vertical SaaS.
- Bonus: Experience working in American industry (ag, trucking, construction, etc.).
