About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Security Operations II Specialist with extensive experience in network security, operational support, advanced troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. This individual will serve as a technical expert and escalation point for complex incidents in a 24/7 environment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure monitoring, support, and maintenance of the network security infrastructure.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex incidents.
- Manage incidents, problems, service requests, and changes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors.
- Support the secure implementation of new technologies.
- Assess and communicate risks.
- Ensure adherence to security best practices, network segmentation, and firewall policies.
- Support enterprise security services: patching, endpoint protection, encryption, PKI, and Active Directory.
- Automate tasks using scripts, Git, and Ansible.
- Mentor less experienced team members.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and provide 24/7 support.
Requirements
- 5 or more years of hands-on experience supporting network security operations, cybersecurity operations, and critical infrastructures in a complex enterprise environment.
- University degree in telecommunications, computer science, or equivalent.
- Solid knowledge of enterprise security services.
- In-depth knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, STP, MLAG, VSS, and VPC protocols.
- Experience with Fortinet, Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, Juniper, or Arista.
- Knowledge of security zoning, network segmentation, and DMZ principles.
- Experience with Git and Ansible.
- Knowledge of the ELK platform (Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Logstash) and agent pipelines.
- Understanding of software development best practices and the use of AI to create scalable solutions.
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Basic experience with Kubernetes.
- Adequate knowledge of French is required for positions offered in Quebec.
