About the Role
Nursing attendants at NewYork-Presbyterian serve as critical points of contact for patients and their families, partnering with nurses and technicians to provide essential care. This role focuses on monitoring patient vitals, ensuring meal delivery, safe transport, and maintaining a comfortable and healthy environment.
Responsibilities
- Monitor blood pressure and temperature of patients
- Ensure the delivery of meals
- Provide safe transport for patients
- Perform select care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse
- Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment
- Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respiration, and blood pressure
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Current CPR Training from the American Heart Association is required
- Previous Nurse’s Aide experience in a hospital setting
- Certification from an approved accredited Nurse Aid training program
- Current enrollment in a BSN program - at the junior year level and/or completion of at least one clinical practicum
