About the Role
As Lead Contract Administrator, you provide oversight during the construction phase, ensuring the successful delivery of projects from design intent through completion. You align on-site execution with studio standards, client objectives, and contractual requirements, navigating complex project dynamics with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
Responsibilities
- Lead the project team during the contract administration phase, providing direction and guidance.
- Oversee submittal reviews, RFI and change management, and payment certification.
- Manage project closeout and participate in OAC meetings and site visits.
- Conduct site visits for general reviews, mock-up reviews, deficiency walkthroughs, and occupancy reviews.
- Attend OAC and other site meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination.
- Lead discussions to resolve issues efficiently and in accordance with contract documents.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders during contract administration.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to establish a work plan and manage project financials during construction.
- Create a supportive environment, offering guidance and constructive feedback to the team.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of Architectural experience including Contract Administration.
- Proficiency in Revit, MS Office, Bluebeam.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and effective problem-solving skills.
- Must possess a valid G Driver’s License and have a personal vehicle available for daily business use within Ontario and occasionally outside the province based on project needs.
- Ability to work in a hybrid role, with 3 days in the Studio.
