About the Role
The Manager, Digital Activation owns strategic planning and campaign execution for an assigned client. This position is both strategic and tactical, requiring independent generation of strategic insights and implementation of digital campaigns with support from Associates and Senior Associates. The role involves training direct reports on client requirements, optimization strategies, and best practices across platforms, overseeing the entire trafficking and campaign management process across all digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Execute, manage, and optimize online media campaigns and programs for agency clients, including auction/exchange based performance media, audience-based buying, and remarketing campaigns, both independently and in support of the Associate Director.
- Demonstrate diligence, attention to detail, and adherence to best practices throughout the full campaign life-cycle.
- Maintain and organize campaign-specific materials in the team’s shared drive.
- Oversee daily campaign maintenance, including handling internal questions regarding tracking and status of various campaigns.
- Run the campaign QA process to ensure accurate campaign implementation, pacing, and performance with the assistance of Associates and Senior Associates.
- Set up campaigns accurately in different systems, ensuring ad tags and creative are loaded correctly.
- Communicate to creative teams if there is a risk of not launching on time on various platforms.
- Master media buying-related technologies, including DSPs and social platforms.
- Understand client performance objectives and develop successful strategies to meet them.
- Perform hands-on execution and in-the-field management of client campaigns.
- Apply strong understanding of best practices and when to apply them on client campaigns.
- Utilize advanced understanding of campaign, ad server, impression, and user data to capitalize on key drivers of performance and identify opportunities for account growth.
- Translate advanced campaign goals into optimization tactics across all platforms.
- Execute advanced QA standards across assigned campaigns.
- Execute basic & advanced reporting analysis using 3rd party planning, activation & measurement tools.
Requirements
- Understanding of Linear Upfront and Scatter Investment.
- Experience working with Paid Social (Meta, TT, Snap, Pinterest), Linear TV, Retail Media, OTT.
- Excels at media fundamentals and can educate the assistant analyst level.
- Knowledge of the dynamics of media, including how each media element performs alone, together, and how they are constantly changing.
- Skilled in negotiation tactics.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
- Strong analytical thinking and mathematical skills.
- Skilled in Excel, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs.
- Skilled in DDS, Prisma, Meta Campaign Manager, TikTok Campaign Manager, Snap Ads Campaign Manager, DV360, Trade Desk/Walmart, Amazon DSP.
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Ability to organize and manage detailed work.
- Strong project management skills.
