Responsibilities

  • Professionally service HVAC equipment and accessory items for residential customers.
  • Perform general and other inspections of all types of appliances for residential users.
  • Adhere to all safety rules.
  • Explain the benefits of newer, high-efficient equipment to customers.
  • Ensure the safe operation of all new installations and instruct customers on proper care and maintenance.
  • Maintain company vehicle to neat, clean, and safe standards.
  • Promote Reliance Home Comfort products and services on every call.

Requirements

  • Must meet Company requirements regarding general qualifications.
  • Must have completed a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Must be an installer or technician.
  • Must possess a Gas Technician ‘2’ (G2) license.
  • Must have 2 years of HVAC experience.
  • Must be registered in the Apprenticeship program.
  • Must be accepted by OCOT and maintain all fees, required licenses, and progress in a timely manner.
  • Must be effective at HVAC lead generation and CPP enrollments.
  • Must demonstrate strong technical and customer service skills, and knowledge of company metrics in current and previous roles.
  • Must possess a valid full G Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to progress through all levels of this apprenticeship in a timely manner.
  • Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to understand/learn new technologies (e.g., electronics, electricity, pressures).
