About the Role
Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa is seeking a Conference Services Manager to coordinate programs, lead clients through planning, and act as a liaison between clients and staff. This role offers an inspiring environment to work, learn, and thrive, with opportunities for growth within the Omni brand.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate a detailed schedule of programs including meeting set-up, audio/visual requirements, room reservations, food & beverage, and special functions.
- Lead client through all aspects of planning, resulting in a complete, detailed program.
- Act as Barton Creek's liaison between client and staff.
- Recommend full usage of facility services to client, staying up-to-date on current pricing and operational procedures.
- Prepare detailed banquet event orders through Delphi for use by client and operational staff.
- Prepare budget estimates for each group.
- Prepare detailed meeting room and function room diagrams for operational areas.
- Attend weekly resume meetings to discuss upcoming programs with Department Heads.
- Monitor client's program while on property to ensure a well-run meeting.
- Track daily progress and relate any changes to the group's agenda to appropriate departments.
- Attend bi-weekly Group Pickup led by Director of Revenue Management.
- Attend department meetings and other company required trainings.
- Complete other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Minimum one year planning experience, preferably in a hotel or resort.
- College degree preferred; work experience can substitute for education.
- Must have working knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Delphi experience is a plus.
- Must be organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to sit and utilize telephone/computer for an entire shift.
- Office environment with occasional travel around property.
