About the Role
As an Experienced Auto Technician at Carvana, you will perform a full range of automotive repairs, from light maintenance to heavy engine work, and diagnostics on our vehicles. You will be responsible for general to complex repairs on all makes and models, diagnosing and repairing electrical issues (including electric and hybrid vehicles), and completing repairs for wheel bearings, axles, and climate control systems.
Responsibilities
- Perform general to complex repairs on all makes and models, ranging from timing belts and suspension systems to heavy engine work.
- Diagnose and repair advanced vehicle electrical issues, including work on electric and hybrid vehicles.
- Complete repairs for wheel bearings and axles, as well as vehicle climate control systems including ACs and heater cores.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of professional automotive repair experience.
- Ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.
- Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment.
- Willingness to sometimes be exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold).
- Ability to use safety equipment.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Able to work mandatory overtime based on business needs.
