About the Role
The Global Head of Network Management is accountable for identifying and managing firm-wide risk across HSBC’s Network of Agent Banks, in-scope Intermediaries, and Financial Market Infrastructure. This role ensures businesses have a clear understanding of risks and mitigants to manage their risk appetite effectively.
Responsibilities
- Lead the global team that identifies, manages, reports on, and escalates network risk to all HSBC businesses.
- Partner with Business Heads to understand risk appetites and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are embedded.
- Manage relationships with Network providers, including onboarding, offboarding, and risk management.
- Proactively identify risk management strategies for each business and execute initiatives.
- Deliver regulatory assurance across all home and network locations.
- Partner with operational leads to ensure an appropriate framework for managing operational risk.
- Lead the development, implementation, and ownership of Management Information (MI) systems for accurate reporting of KPIs and KRIs.
- Provide strategic leadership and accountability for Network Management, overseeing client engagement initiatives.
- Own relationships with key regulators, represent at industry associations, and maintain an understanding of relevant regulations.
- Drive the successful delivery of time-critical initiatives and programs.
- Manage and develop globally distributed teams, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
- Own Network Management costs, performance, optimisation, and commercial strategy, including recharge allocation.
Requirements
- Proven track record of leading a high-performing Network Management organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing risk frameworks and risk management strategies.
- Deep experience in application of regulation across multiple jurisdictions.
- Design and delivery of risk management technology.
- Strong Operations leadership across multiple locations.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement across multiple businesses, technology, clients, and regulators.
- Successful leadership of complex programmes within tight deadlines.
- Inspirational leadership of international teams across multiple locations.
