About the Role

Provide timely support in developing, maintaining, analyzing, and coordinating the Plant Production Schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Develop weekly and daily production schedules for manufacturing lines following the most up-to-date Master Planning process.
  • Analyze material requirements plans and release orders for all locally purchased materials, maintaining inventory at planned levels.
  • Monitor shelf life of purchased materials and ensure consumption before expiry.
  • Review and analyze production variance reports to ensure production plans meet customer demand and minimize material obsolescence.
  • Review weekly/daily production schedule with Operations Leader and make necessary changes.
  • Communicate production schedules and schedule changes to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Assign material requirements (waves) to the Central Distribution Centre.
  • Ensure locally purchased items are received and processed accurately in the ERP system and send final confirmation to A/P for payment processing.
  • Cross-train with other Production Planners/Schedulers to plan/schedule production for any manufacturing facilities in the network.
  • Maintain and update scheduling files.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in Production and Raw Materials Planning for manufacturing is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical skills and understanding of inventory planning fundamentals.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Experience with Planning (MRP)/ERP systems is desirable.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with various competing priorities.
