About the Role
Provide timely support in developing, maintaining, analyzing, and coordinating the Plant Production Schedule.
Responsibilities
- Develop weekly and daily production schedules for manufacturing lines following the most up-to-date Master Planning process.
- Analyze material requirements plans and release orders for all locally purchased materials, maintaining inventory at planned levels.
- Monitor shelf life of purchased materials and ensure consumption before expiry.
- Review and analyze production variance reports to ensure production plans meet customer demand and minimize material obsolescence.
- Review weekly/daily production schedule with Operations Leader and make necessary changes.
- Communicate production schedules and schedule changes to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Assign material requirements (waves) to the Central Distribution Centre.
- Ensure locally purchased items are received and processed accurately in the ERP system and send final confirmation to A/P for payment processing.
- Cross-train with other Production Planners/Schedulers to plan/schedule production for any manufacturing facilities in the network.
- Maintain and update scheduling files.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in Production and Raw Materials Planning for manufacturing is an asset.
- Excellent analytical skills and understanding of inventory planning fundamentals.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Experience with Planning (MRP)/ERP systems is desirable.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with various competing priorities.
