About the Role
The Institutional Sales Specialist will liaise with and assist Precious Metals Dealers and Exempt Market Product Issuers to onboard new clients and support existing clients. This role is crucial for delivering a superior client experience by providing accurate, professional, and timely support, acting as a primary point of contact and subject matter expert for seamless service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Institutional Partners/Dealers to onboard new clients
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients referred through Precious Metal Dealers and Exempt Market Product Issuers
- Assist Precious Metal Dealers/ Issuers and their referred clients with the account opening and funding process
- Work with Back Office to complete new accounts and account transfers
- Ensure the completion of client on boarding documentation
- Become an SME on account opening, Precious Metals and Private Products
- Assist clients with deposits and withdrawals
- Coordinate with back office teams on purchases and redemptions of Exempt Market Products
- Collaborate with Finance, Compliance, Risk and Back Office teams for trade reviews, settlements, transfer updates, account completion, purchases withdrawals and redemptions
- Generate delivery quotes for precious metal deliveries and liaise with third party vendors to complete these deliveries
- Make outbound calls to clients to assist them with their precious metals and exempt market products related queries and other account related inquiries
- Review precious metals trades for inventory and reconciliation with storage facility reports
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Work with issuers and the back office on DRIP deposits and distributions
Requirements
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field
- 1–2 years of experience in Client Services
- Minimum 1 year of related work experience in financial services or technical support
- Demonstrated ability to provide value-added, superior customer service
- SME-level knowledge of Options, Registered Plans, and technical troubleshooting
- Strong communication skills to explain trading, funding, and account logistics
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and channels simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- CSI courses or completion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC)
- CPH, OLC, or DFC certifications are considered assets
- Available for overtime as needed
