About the Role
The Linear Sales Operations Specialist ensures ad placement obligations and client requests are fulfilled by coordinating and maximizing commercial inventory placement to complete a daily commercial log. This role also involves surfacing discrepancies and making recommendations to optimize inventory revenue.
Responsibilities
- Place commercial inventory daily working across the current weekly inventory.
- Maintain advertiser frequency and exclusivity requirements and constraints.
- Flag discrepant inventory and report under/oversells of commercial inventory.
- Liaise with copy specialists, planning & inventory teams, account services, production, programming, promotions, marketing and operations teams to maximize spot placement and advertiser goals.
- Carry out day-of-air changes for fluctuating programming schedule and alert correct counterparts.
- Partner with offshore groups to ensure deal health, scheduling, and deadlines are successfully met.
- Availability to work overtime, especially during tent pole programming.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of traffic, sales service, and/or operations experience within the media business required
- Proven computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
- Detail orientation, commitment to quality work product and well organized.
- Experience in successfully communicating both verbally and in writing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and multi-task
- Team player to participate and support the needs of the entire team
- Excellent ability to manage project initiatives and navigate deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with co-workers, clients, and senior leadership
- Able to thrive in a continuously changing environment
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must be 18 years or older
