About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Functions knowledgeably in patient care duties.
  • Complies with quality assurance, HIPPA, customer focus, infection control, and safety policies.
  • Responds appropriately to patient and referring physician inquiries.
  • Answers calls, directing clinical calls to appropriate personnel.
  • Works with patients and office personnel to coordinate care.
  • Ensures patient films are accounted for and returned appropriately.
  • Makes follow-up phone calls to patients as directed.
  • Reviews and approves provider dictations and faxes them to referring physicians.
  • Obtains prior authorization for diagnostic testing and procedures.
  • Enters patient data into EMR, including prescriptions and procedures.
  • Schedules follow-up appointments for internal and external diagnostic testing.

Requirements

  • General office skills, including typing.
  • Strong planning, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment (fax, copy machines, multi-line phone, computers).
  • Working proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to address and resolve conflict professionally.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to be flexible.

  • Rates are commensurate with experience
  • Most candidates will start within the first quartile of the pay range
