About the Role
Nearmap is looking for a Sales Development Manager to lead our Australian BDR team. This role involves real-time coaching, structured training, and driving pipeline growth, with a focus on developing BDR careers.
Responsibilities
- Coach BDRs through call reviews and structured training sessions.
- Establish prospecting discipline, CRM hygiene, call structure, and pipeline handoff standards.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Sales leadership to define target accounts and refine outreach cadences.
- Act as a liaison between the BDR team and Account Executives, ensuring smooth meeting handoffs.
- Manage the day-to-day rhythms of the team, including attendance, scheduling, and reporting.
Requirements
- Track record as an individual contributor in a BDR or SDR function.
- 2+ years of lead, supervisory, or direct management experience.
- Comfort with sales data and dashboards.
- Ability to coach across SMB to enterprise client segments.
- Formal sales methodology training (MEDDIC, SPIN, Challenger, or similar).
- High EQ, clear communication, and confidence to manage senior stakeholder expectations.
- Energy to keep a junior team motivated, focused, and accountable.
