About the Role

We are seeking a high-energy Enrichment Teacher to provide New York City’s 0 to 6-year-olds with a foundation for lifelong learning through our incredible enrichment classes. In this role, you are part athlete, part scientist, and part performer, transitioning seamlessly between activities. As a natural storyteller with a flair for the dramatic and a heart for early childhood development, you will turn every lesson into a core memory, ensuring our youngest learners feel confident, inspired, and excited to explore the world around them.

Responsibilities

Lead and co-lead a dynamic range of classes for children ages 0 to 6, pivoting between diverse classes and age groups.
Use structured and unstructured play, art, music, gymnastics, and STEM to build a child’s confidence and coordination.
Curate a "safe to fail" environment where challenges are celebrated as vital leaps in learning.
Master the art of the transition and "behind-the-scenes" flow, tackling daily operations with a "ready-for-anything" attitude.
Build trust with parents and caregivers through daily updates, sharing successes and challenges.
Ensure a safe, joyful, and engaging classroom environment.
Anticipate classroom needs and prepare resources in advance.
Execute smooth, efficient transitions between classes and activities.
Cultivate trust-based relationships with students, families, and the internal team.
Maintain 100% compliance with all Department of Health requirements.

Requirements

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.
The role involves standing, walking, sitting, constant movement, and occasional climbing.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is required.
Specific sensory abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjustment of focus.

Experience Level

1-2+ years of formal teaching experience in early childhood (ages 0-6)
Camp, pre-k, after-school, and other enrichment experiences are preferred.
Experience teaching music, dance, gymnastics, or yoga is a plus!

Education Level

High School Diploma or equivalent
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood (or studying) is preferred.
