About the Role
We are seeking a high-energy Enrichment Teacher to provide New York City’s 0 to 6-year-olds with a foundation for lifelong learning through our incredible enrichment classes. In this role, you are part athlete, part scientist, and part performer, transitioning seamlessly between activities. As a natural storyteller with a flair for the dramatic and a heart for early childhood development, you will turn every lesson into a core memory, ensuring our youngest learners feel confident, inspired, and excited to explore the world around them.
Responsibilities
- Lead and co-lead a dynamic range of classes for children ages 0 to 6, pivoting between diverse classes and age groups.
- Use structured and unstructured play, art, music, gymnastics, and STEM to build a child’s confidence and coordination.
- Curate a "safe to fail" environment where challenges are celebrated as vital leaps in learning.
- Master the art of the transition and "behind-the-scenes" flow, tackling daily operations with a "ready-for-anything" attitude.
- Build trust with parents and caregivers through daily updates, sharing successes and challenges.
- Ensure a safe, joyful, and engaging classroom environment.
- Anticipate classroom needs and prepare resources in advance.
- Execute smooth, efficient transitions between classes and activities.
- Cultivate trust-based relationships with students, families, and the internal team.
- Maintain 100% compliance with all Department of Health requirements.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Physical exam and background checks are required for this position.
- The role involves standing, walking, sitting, constant movement, and occasional climbing.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is required.
- Specific sensory abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjustment of focus.

Experience Level
- 1-2+ years of formal teaching experience in early childhood (ages 0-6)
- Camp, pre-k, after-school, and other enrichment experiences are preferred.
- Experience teaching music, dance, gymnastics, or yoga is a plus!
Education Level
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood (or studying) is preferred.
