About the Role

This role leads cross-solution integrated marketing to position Microsoft as the AI Transformation Partner in Japan, driving demand and thought leadership through AI-focused storytelling and orchestration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and land AI transformation and cross-solution narratives tailored to the Japanese market
  • Lead marketing orchestration across solution areas for high quality customer experiences
  • Partner with CSA marketers, the Asia CMO team, and key stakeholders to maximize business impact
  • Represent AI Transformation marketing to Japan stakeholders and drive for impact in partnership with Japan Field IMMs, stakeholders across organizations
  • Take strategic ownership of key Japan AI Transformation programs to impact business at maximum, such as Flagship event AI Tours and CxO-targeted executive programs
  • Earn trust from key stakeholders to achieve expected outcomes obtaining prompt supports needed, to achieve aligned, win-win outcomes to drive AI Transformation integrated marketing
  • Deliver measurable marketing impact in Japan, improve marketing outcomes for Japan, CSA (Cloud Solution Area) business, and customer Segments
  • Clearly articulate the business impact and outcomes of marketing investments by measuring impact on pipeline ensuring stakeholders acknowledge the value and impact of marketing on their business.
  • Activate sellers through aligned Seller Rhythm of Business, enabling follow-up on marketing signals to drive Stage 1 pipeline.
  • Partner with GTM and Sales Excellence to accelerate pipeline creation from key marketing moments.
  • Deliver flagship moments such as Microsoft AI Tours to maximize value for Japan, ensuring outstanding audience experiences and achieving attendance targets for each location and segment.
  • Empower sellers to drive impacts post-key initiatives via. Strategic enablement initiatives
  • Partner with Japan leadership team to deliver a local CXO strategy and programs that builds on Corp led initiatives and regional CXO engagement moments
  • Ensure quality, compliance, and governance while driving integrated and digital marketing execution, leveraging data, tools, and AI for continuous optimization.
  • Operate as one team across Field, Experiential, Social, CSA, Engines, and Engagement to ensure seamless execution beyond traditional role boundaries.
  • Lead business reviews with Japan leadership and Sales stakeholders, and driving strong alignment between sales and marketing to accelerate pipeline impact.
  • Orchestrate the formulation of the Japan local marketing plan for AI Transformation aligned to business strategy and priorities for Japan, partnering closely with field marketers and stakeholders across Solution Areas, Sales, Operations, and agencies.
  • Lead and influence senior leaders and stakeholders to land AI Transformation marketing plans in Japan, with accountability for flagship programs such as AI Tours and CXO programs.
  • Drive with data & insights for a high-performance marketing culture to enable connected sales and marketing outcomes.
  • Evangelize marketing impact in Japan and provide actionable feedback to CSA and Center of Excellence teams based on local market insights.
  • Proactively develop strategic responses based on data to specific market strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats, and/or trends.
  • Ensure operational rigor, compliance with global standards (accessibility, privacy, security, brand), and high-quality execution in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Manage and track marketing budget and spend, ensuring ROI, quarterly spend alignment, and compliance with budget guidelines.
  • Promote diversity and inclusion to drive “one-team” impact while respecting local market and cultural relevance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or a related field
  • 15+ years of experience in B-to-B marketing and commercial integrated marketing, including campaign planning and execution, digital marketing, event and program management, and marketing operations (reporting and analysis), or equivalent experience
  • Experience working in multinational or matrixed organizations is a plus
  • Experience in cloud, AI, security, and/or enterprise commercial marketing in IT field is a plus
  • Proven ability to engage confidently with senior executives and partners
  • Experience leading transformation initiatives or change management programs within organization is a plus
  • Advanced business-level English required, including leading cross-team collaboration, discussions, managing complex HQ negotiations, and producing business reports
  • High business-level proficiency in Japanese required
