About the Role
The Body Shop Technician at DELLA Auto Group will perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles in the body shop, working as a skilled laborer and contractor to ensure high-quality repairs are completed efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform body repairs and restoration on vehicles, including body panel replacement, welding, and painting.
- Conduct thorough inspections before and after repairs to ensure all work meets quality standards.
- Use specialized equipment and tools to complete repairs, following manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
- Keep detailed records of repair work, including parts used, labor time, and customer information.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, customers, and insurance representatives.
- Attend training and stay updated on industry advancements and techniques.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in auto body repair, preferably in a dealership setting.
- I-CAR certification is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of body repair techniques and tools.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment and stand for extended periods of time.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
