About the Role
Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Patient Service Specialist (PSS) - Float to join their team. This role is crucial for providing outstanding customer service and ensuring smooth operations at outpatient clinics.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients
- Answer phones
- Patient intake and data entry
- Insurance verification and pre-authorization
- Schedule patient appointments
- Operate the front office of outpatient centers
- Support therapists and therapy assistants
- Perform daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits
- Process referrals
- Complete the intake process
- Verify insurance and authorizations
- Review benefits with patients
- Collect copays
- Arrive and schedule patients
- Generate billing reports
- Generate closing reports
- Perform other tasks as needed
- Travel to multiple outpatient clinics
- Travel to other locations as needed
