About the Role

Join Swiss Re's Graduate Programme to develop skills in helping governments and communities build resilience to global risks. This rotational program, starting Fall 2027, offers hands-on experience in reinsurance and commercial insurance, tailored training, and networking opportunities over approximately 18 months. As a Public Sector Solutions Analyst, you will help public sector organizations understand and manage risk, contributing to innovative solutions for financial resilience against natural catastrophes, climate risks, and emerging challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and analysis to support public-sector risk solutions
  • Evaluate market opportunities, client needs, and risk trends
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop client recommendations and innovative solutions
  • Contribute to presentations, proposals, and materials used in client engagements
  • Gain exposure to insurance, reinsurance, and capital markets solutions that help protect communities and public finances

Requirements

  • Completed or about to complete a bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degree in economics, finance, engineering, actuarial science, mathematics, environmental science, public policy, data analytics, or another analytical discipline
  • Demonstrated academic rigor through course selection and performance; a cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 is expected
  • No more than three years of professional experience
  • Intellectually curious about risk, resilience, climate, public-sector challenges, and how insurance can help address real-world problems
  • Think analytically, enjoy working with data, and can translate complex information into clear insights
  • Self-aware, seek feedback, and apply it to keep growing
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Curious about AI and emerging technologies and how they can be used responsibly to enhance analysis, learning, and efficiency
