About the Role
Pharmacy Technician assists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications under the supervision of a pharmacist, ensuring compliance with all regulations and company policies. They also manage customer data, provide medication counseling, support pharmacy operations, and contribute to achieving financial and operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Complies with all applicable federal, state laws, pharmacy regulations, and company policies.
- Prepares and dispenses prescription medications under pharmacist supervision.
- Follows directions from the pharmacist on duty and pharmacy manager.
- Enters customer data into the computer, maintains accurate records, and completes all necessary pharmacy paperwork.
- Counsels patients and medical providers regarding drug information, dosage, interactions, and side effects.
- Performs general housekeeping duties.
- Achieves financial goals including sales, gross profit maximization, and minimization of shrink and supply expense.
- Maintains security of all controlled substances.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions.
- Possess basic computer skills.
- Possess strong communication skills.
Salary/Compensations
- $16.00 - $23.50
