About the Role
The Senior Manager, Commercial Employee Banking (CEB) serves as the Retail Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Commercial Employee Banking program, responsible for driving adoption, deepening client relationships, and accelerating growth across Commercial client partnerships. This role bridges Commercial and Retail Banking to deliver a seamless, value-driven employee banking experience.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Retail SME supporting Commercial partners to drive CEB program adoption and expansion across target client segments
- Identify and prioritize opportunities within existing Commercial relationships to increase employee penetration and engagement
- Partner with Commercial Banking, Distribution, and Segment teams to originate, structure, and activate new CEB opportunities
- Support client-facing discussions, positioning CEB as a differentiated value proposition to win and retain mandates
- Contribute to the evolution of the CEB offering based on market insights, client feedback, and competitive positioning
- Own and track key performance metrics, including employee acquisition and activation, product penetration and revenue contribution, and client engagement and program utilization
- Establish and maintain performance dashboards and reporting routines to provide transparency on results
- Identify performance gaps and implement targeted strategies to improve outcomes
- Ensure alignment to broader Retail and Commercial Banking growth objectives
- Lead regular communication routines and updates to key stakeholders across Retail, Commercial, Commercial customers and Segment leadership teams
- Prepare and deliver executive-level reporting and insights highlighting performance, opportunities, and risks
- Develop clear, compelling messaging to support internal alignment and external client engagement
- Ensure consistent and effective cross-functional coordination across all program stakeholders
Requirements
- 7–10+ years of experience in Financial Services, with strong knowledge of Retail and/or Commercial Banking
- Proven ability to drive business development and program adoption within matrixed organizations
- Strong analytical mindset with experience managing performance metrics and reporting frameworks
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Incumbents will be responsible for travelling to regularly meet with their retail partners/clients to ensure assigned branches are engaged and kept informed
- Evening seminars are held as well as individual meetings with clients and Bank partners which can require a longer than usual work day
- Both predictable and unpredictable deadlines are often imposed to meet the demands of clients, Scotiabank partners, with occasional evening and weekend work
