About the Role

Horizon Media is seeking a dynamic individual to manage and develop junior team members, oversee integrated media buying, and lead media negotiations. This role involves building strong relationships internally and externally, ensuring client objectives are met, and contributing to a culture of belonging and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and adjust timing of deliverables for the team, communicating changes to managers and leadership.
  • Apply knowledge of current/previous clients’ specific business and industry relationships to enhance plan negotiations.
  • Build relationships across Horizon Media departments to foster trust and accountability.
  • Serve as the primary resource for junior team members navigating internal and external partner and client conversations.
  • Act as the day-to-day resource for the client team to ensure project prioritization and alignment with media objectives.
  • Manage and develop junior team members, creating growth plans and providing clear career goals.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, identify training needs, and set career development goals.
  • Provide education and training on best practices, media principles, and the industry.
  • Participate in the interview process for junior team members.
  • Guide the team in assigning challenging, level-appropriate projects and learning opportunities.
  • Encourage junior team members to participate in Horizon Media initiatives and the larger integrated community.
  • Plan, execute, and steward integrated media plans.
  • Guide the team in leveraging Horizon Media’s tools for analysis into competitive landscape, digital consumption, plan development, and reporting.
  • Monitor trends, tools, and opportunities within linear and digital environments, applying knowledge to campaign strategy.
  • Oversee junior team members and manage expectations with integrated leadership in the creation of media-specific documents.
  • Negotiate across traditional linear and digital landscapes.
  • Provide final sign off on RFP creation and review partner/site responses.
  • Act as the point of escalation for partner negotiations and stewardship of key partnerships.
  • Provide strategic guidance to the team during the planning process.
  • Lead collaboration with other Horizon Media teams towards 360 partnerships.
  • Act as an escalation point for junior team members working through optimization strategies.
  • Encourage junior team members to draw thoughtful, data-based conclusions illustrating performance 'why' and mapping back to strategy.
  • Collaborate with Business Solutions and Analytics teams to establish measurement plans and learning agendas.
