About the Role
The Scientist, Method Validation is responsible for executing laboratory experiments, supporting method validation activities, and contributing to the development of scientific procedures in a GLP-compliant environment. This role performs laboratory analyses, maintains scientific documentation, and supports project outcomes through accurate and timely reporting of results.
Responsibilities
- Perform qualitative and quantitative laboratory procedures in compliance with safety requirements and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
- Prepare samples, reagents, and experiments for analytical testing and method validation studies
- Analyze laboratory data and report results accurately and within established timelines
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation according to SOPs
- Document laboratory procedures, observations, and results in accordance with customer requirements
- Support scientific investigations, project activities, and laboratory operations under scientific direction
- Ensure compliance with established quality standards, laboratory procedures, and safety protocols
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in applied or laboratory sciences with direct laboratory course work required
- 0-2 years direct laboratory experience required
- Experience following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation
- Other equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
Skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to accurately document and present laboratory findings
- Ability to understand and follow scientific protocols, policies, and procedures while working independently
- Strong prioritization, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Flexible, forward-thinking, and motivated approach to scientific work
- Basic computing proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent software
