About the Role

BDO Canada is seeking a Team Lead, Cloud Services to join its growing Cloud Services practice. This role is key to leading and expanding BDO's cloud services, involving collaboration with leaders to secure new cloud business, identify solutions, and manage client relationships. The position also oversees the daily operations of the cloud analyst team, ensuring quality, efficiency, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Champion revenue and profitability growth.
  • Drive the team to close new business and safeguard renewals.
  • Provide leadership in developing and implementing new service offerings and team training.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on Microsoft offers and solutions.
  • Lead pre-sales initiatives, including client presentations and pricing model development.
  • Create cloud proposals.
  • Supervise timely and accurate CRM management, including client follow-ups and sales pipeline.
  • Manage high transactional cloud engagements against budget, timeline, and scope.
  • Act as a customer and team escalation contact for issue resolution.
  • Provide management and guidance for customer satisfaction concerns.
  • Build deeper client relationships and expand engagement footprints to drive revenue.
  • Manage the team to ensure effective operations delivery, high quality, and excellent customer service.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for cloud operations and support teams.
  • Contribute to practice planning of KPIs, review profitability metrics, team efficiency, and operations improvements.
  • Manage the cloud operations analyst team, ensuring effective utilization.
  • Provide ongoing mentoring and coaching to the team.
  • Foster a sense of purpose within the team, developing objectives aligned with core values, mission, and vision.
  • Interview and hire new talent as the team grows.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience managing a cloud services, sales, operations, or support team.
  • Experience in the technology consulting field, cloud solutions provider (Microsoft CSP), or similar, working closely with clients.
  • Experience working for a Microsoft Partner with exposure to products like Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, or other cloud software vendors in cloud licensing, sales operations, or pre-sales.
  • Experience driving results using CRM or a pipeline/sales management tool.
  • Possess a technical background (e.g., IT managed services, software development, architecture, IT infrastructure).
  • Demonstrate a passion for Cloud technology/services, emerging or innovative technologies, and a desire to develop expertise in the area.
  • Experience in creating and implementing operational procedures and continuous improvement activities is an asset.
  • Excellent customer-facing, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Aptitude and proven record in troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Strategic planning and management expertise.
