About the Role

The Retail Internet Used Firearms Specialist is responsible for creating accurate descriptions and capturing high-quality images of used firearms for the company's online website. This role ensures the website inventory is up-to-date and assists in driving sales through customer interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Create and upload accurate descriptions and capture high-quality images of used firearms.
  • Maintain a high-quality website with accurate, up-to-date inventories.
  • Add and delete firearms as they are acquired or disposed of to keep the online inventory current.
  • Evaluate and purchase used firearms, acquire them into the bound book, and ensure proper payment.
  • Initiate 4473 forms with customers and conduct final checks of company, state, and federal forms.
  • Assist in making used firearm sales through customer interaction via e-mail, mail, telephone, and personal contact.
  • Provide legendary customer service by greeting, consulting, and assisting customers.
  • Process firearms transactions efficiently in accordance with policies and law.
  • Produce monthly sales audit reports for used firearms online activities.
  • Acquire all firearms legally in accordance with ATF, state, and local laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Complete ATF required forms, state forms for background checks, and screen firearm transfers for legality.
  • Comply with waiting periods and other state requirements, and screen for straw purchases.
  • Assist with the acquisition and receipt of firearms in accordance with company policy and regulations.
  • Complete company forms accurately.
  • Perform firearms audits.
  • Mount optics to firearms.
  • Safely check and clear firearms received by customers or via shipment.
  • Prepare firearms for retail sale.
  • Evaluate and appraise used firearms utilizing experience and resources.
  • Respond to and handle customer issues using good judgment and logic.
  • Assure visual standards are met by up-keeping and maintenance, including restocking, remerchandising, cleaning fixtures, and general housekeeping.
  • Maintain standards within the department and back room, including proper facing of firearm tags and performing opening and closing duties.
  • Participate in ongoing training on firearms information, diverse shooting disciplines, systems, compliance, and selling skills.

Requirements

  • Requires a valid NY State Pistol Permit.
  • Must be 21 years of age.

Skills

  • Ability to safely handle firearms and adhere to all company, state, and federal firearms regulations.
  • Ability to provide legendary customer service experience.
  • Ability to operate camera and computer to upload photos and maintain descriptions.
  • Knowledge of purchasing firearms through industry experience or collecting firearms.
