About the Role
The Franchise Business Consultant acts as the main liaison between the client and the franchise community, coaching owners to boost sales and reduce operational costs. This role involves building partnerships with franchise points of contact to offer advice, counsel, and coaching, ultimately impacting sales, profits, and operating standards. The FBC will foster a sense of ownership within their territory and ensure the achievement of company and shareholder goals.
Responsibilities
- Partner with franchisees to identify performance barriers and develop business plans for improvement across operations, marketing, training, and human resources.
- Maintain a deep understanding of key business metrics for assigned franchisees to analyze restaurant and business-wide issues and opportunities.
- Ensure franchisee adherence to Standard Operating Procedures, Operations Assessment Reports, and Mystery Shop standards, creating corrective action plans as needed.
- Assist franchisees in assessing talent and bench strength to meet current and future business needs.
- Support franchisees in developing and maintaining capital plans for development and remodel obligations.
- Represent and advocate for franchisees with the restaurant support center.
- Communicate the purpose and benefits of new programs and decisions to gain franchisee buy-in and provide feedback on program effectiveness.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years in a field operations-oriented leadership role within the food service industry.
- Proven ability to deliver results and influence decisions through strong negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated experience consulting with and influencing business owners, with advanced knowledge of consultative approaches.
- Ability to travel up to 50+% of the time.
- Strong understanding of P&L Statements, budgeting, and controllable costs.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting operational goals, building sales, and maximizing profits.
