About the Role
Rose Associates is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Leasing Representative for its multifamily properties. This role serves as the primary point of contact for prospective residents, responsible for showcasing units, managing the leasing process, and ensuring a positive experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the leasing process, including conducting property tours and showcasing available units.
- Effectively communicate the community's value and greet clients.
- Assess resident needs, answer questions, and respond promptly to inquiries via multiple channels.
- Provide leasing information and schedule appointments.
- Support prospective residents through the application process, including document gathering and background/credit checks.
- Communicate application status and leasing decisions.
- Build positive relationships with prospective and current residents, and the property management team.
- Foster a welcoming and professional atmosphere in the leasing office.
- Ensure efficient operations of the leasing office.
- Handle maintenance requests in collaboration with the on-site maintenance team.
- Ensure resident satisfaction with maintenance and repairs.
- Communicate effectively with current residents regarding repairs and lease renewals.
- Assist with completing weekly and monthly sales reports, including traffic analyses.
- Receive and record deposits and rent money.
- Stay informed about local market trends and competitor offerings.
- Provide feedback to management regarding challenges.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of effective leasing and marketing strategies.
- Prepare and execute lease agreements in compliance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of leasing documentation.
- Be present on-site to ensure effective communication with tenants, staff, vendors, and visitors.
- Ascend and descend stairs and be comfortable with varying environmental climates.
- Perform duties outside normal responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
- A minimum of 1 year of leasing or sales experience, preferably in multifamily residential properties.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in navigating computers and property management software, including Microsoft Office, iLuvLeasing, On-Site, and Yardi.
- Knowledge of fair housing regulations and leasing practices.
- Valid NYS real estate license or ability to obtain one within the first 120 days of employment.
- Register active license with Rose Associates upon hire.
- Must have work authorization.
- Must be able to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays).
