About the Role

Join our diverse, inclusive, and hybrid workplace to unleash your creativity and nurture your curiosity without limits. If you share this sense of infinite possibility, come shape your future at QFG. This role requires a self-directed engineer with strong, hands-on client implementation experience across the Temenos core banking platform, particularly with the AA Lending module, IRIS REST APIs, and Temenos Data Hub. Candidates must be highly proficient in utilizing AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude, while also demonstrating a solid grasp of event-driven architectures, NoSQL databases, and CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will actively shape our engineering culture by writing comprehensive tests, engaging in honest code reviews, and utilizing observability tools like DataDog to ensure production health. Operating within an agile environment, this engineer will take true end-to-end ownership of their domain, moving beyond simple ticket execution to drive technical decisions and influence prioritization. Ultimately, we are looking for a proactive communicator who thrives collaboratively and possesses a genuine curiosity to learn the complex business context of financial services and mortgage servicing.

Responsibilities

  • Actively shape our engineering culture by writing comprehensive tests.
  • Engage in honest code reviews.
  • Utilize observability tools like DataDog to ensure production health.
  • Take true end-to-end ownership of their domain, moving beyond simple ticket execution to drive technical decisions and influence prioritization.
  • Communicate proactively, flagging blockers early, asking for help when needed, and not going quiet when something is taking longer than expected.
  • Collaborate effectively while remaining self-directed.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and willingness to understand the business context of financial services and mortgage servicing.
  • Build and maintain REST APIs in a production environment.
  • Contribute to shaping the test culture.
  • Care about what their services are doing in production.
  • Own their area of the system including incidents, code reviews, and technical decisions.
  • Have a voice in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives, influencing what gets prioritized.
  • Give and receive honest code reviews, engaging with the code meaningfully.
  • Work within an agile sprint-based environment.

Requirements

  • Strong, hands-on client implementation experience across the Temenos core banking platform, particularly with the AA Lending module, IRIS REST APIs, and Temenos Data Hub.
  • Highly proficient in utilizing AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot or Claude.
  • Solid grasp of event-driven architectures, NoSQL databases, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience with .NET and C#.
  • Familiarity with CQRS and DDD design patterns.
  • Some exposure to frontend or component-based UI development.
  • Experience in financial services or fintech.
  • Experience working in a micro frontend / module federation architecture.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Temenos core banking platform architecture, including practical familiarity with configuration, extensibility, and integration patterns.
  • Working knowledge of AA (Arrangement Architecture) – Lending module.
  • Experience with IRIS – REST APIs for Temenos integration.
  • Understanding of Events in Temenos and how event-driven flows are configured/consumed.
  • Familiarity with TDH (Temenos Data Hub) and TDH table structure.
  • Prior experience in a client implementation setting for Temenos (not just internal/sandbox exposure).
  • AI-assisted development tools are mandatory — e.g. GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar; candidates should be able to demonstrate how they use AI tools in their day-to-day engineering workflow.
  • Solid understanding of software design principles — comfortable with event-driven architecture concepts as applied across our services.
  • Experience working with NoSQL databases — we use MongoDB in parts of our stack.
  • Comfortable writing unit and integration tests — we're building our test culture and this engineer will be part of shaping it.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitLab — or equivalent tooling.
  • Understanding of observability and monitoring — we use DataDog and expect engineers to care about what their services are doing in production.
  • Comfortable taking end-to-end ownership of a domain — this isn't a ticket-execution role. The engineer owns their area of the system including incidents, code reviews, and technical decisions.
  • Works well in an agile sprint-based environment — we do sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. The engineer should have a voice in what gets prioritised, not just what gets built.
  • Can give and receive honest code reviews — not just approving to be polite, but engaging with the code meaningfully.
  • Communicates proactively — flags blockers early, asks for help when needed, doesn't go quiet when something is taking longer than expected.
  • Collaborative but self-directed — doesn't need daily direction to know what to work on.
  • Open to learning a new domain — financial services and mortgage servicing is complex. Curiosity and willingness to understand the business context matters as much as technical skill.
