About the Role
Responsible for field supervision to meet job plans and specifications while preserving or improving estimated gross margins. Perform Project Management for the job from beginning to end and be the primary contact for any issues or needs from customers, engineers, and employees for timely and total system success.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for all job-related issues during construction and through the warranty period, finding the best solution based on total job knowledge and estimate/budget limits.
- Communicate promptly with customers, contractors, and employees, and follow up on all details of multiple projects.
- Read and understand specifications and construction blueprint drawings for digital, pneumatic, and electric control systems.
- Manage the field installation and project coordination of many projects simultaneously.
- Provide leadership to field installers to improve competency and independence.
- Recognize change order opportunities and issues in the field and drawings, alerting relevant parties for change requests.
- Gather information for proposed change orders, submit it to the sales/estimating team for pricing, and follow up to award and book.
- Conduct regular field visits to stay familiar with the project and support the Area Supervisor and/or Field Technicians.
- Attend on-site job meetings to represent CTI and discuss project-related matters.
- Stay up-to-date with field safety issues and disseminate information to field personnel.
- Ensure 100% customer satisfaction.
- Meet weekly with the Division Manager to discuss project management, design, contractor issues, job cost review, standardization, training, safety, and other job-related matters.
- Work closely with teams on manpower requests and create weekly work schedules for field installers.
- Interact with customers and contractors daily.
- Attend in-house and other scheduled training for new technology and standards.
- Provide the Operations Team with ideas for standardization and strive for more efficient designs.
- Responsible for weekly job costing and other project financials for assigned projects.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Manage several BAS installations during the year, bringing projects in at or under budget.
- Provide 100% Customer/Contractor support for successful project completion within budget and continued long-term business.

- Bachelor of Science degree or a related Engineering Field (preferably Mechanical or Electrical).
- Minimum of 5 years of field experience in lieu of a college degree.
- HVAC and/or Industrial system knowledge.
- Understanding of the operation of boilers, chillers, air-handling units, constant vs. variable volume systems, and other HVAC equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and technical writing.
- Ability to work alone or in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with managing people and managing project financial budgets.
- Ability to take aggressive criticism.
- Ability to prioritize and deal with many emergencies at once.
- Maintain a positive and level-headed approach.
