About the Role

Facilitate and coordinate the submission of application forms for access to medication assistance for outpatients. Serve as the centralized point of contact for physicians, nurses, social workers, and pharmacists, and be actively involved with government, community-based, and private agencies that provide financial assistance for medications. Act as an advisor to patients, families, and healthcare providers regarding medication access and reimbursement.

  • Serve as the centralized point of contact for physicians, nurses, social workers and pharmacists
  • Actively involved with government, community based and private agencies that provide financial assistance for medications
  • Serve as an advisor to patients, families and health care providers regarding medication access and reimbursement

Requirements

  • Completion of a two-year community college program in an Allied Health related discipline or recognized equivalent
  • Two years of practical and related experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in rheumatology, oncology, ophthalmology or related Outpatient setting
  • Knowledge and experience with public and private medication access/reimbursement programs and relevant agencies
  • Knowledge in specialty drugs (e.g., rheumatology, ophthalmology, hepatology etc.) is an asset
  • Current UHN employees must have successfully completed their probationary period, have a good employee record, and satisfactory attendance
