About the Role

Brex is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the next phase of its fast-growing Embedded API and partner platform. This role involves building the API and partner platform to unlock significant growth, accelerate partner launches, and expand financial capabilities within the ecosystem. It requires a broad, commercially accountable individual contributor role across Product, Card Infrastructure, APIs, and Business Development, owning outcomes from discovery through to revenue.

Responsibilities

Own the multi-year strategy for the Embedded API and partner platform.
Prioritize partner segments, workflows, and financial capabilities for Brex.
Lead partner discovery, executive pitches, solution design, and technical planning.
Translate partner needs into reusable APIs, tooling, and integration patterns.
Align Card Infrastructure, API Engineering, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Business Development, and GTM teams for successful launches.
Utilize AI to enhance developer experience and expedite the path from discovery to production.
Make disciplined tradeoffs regarding commitments, deferrals, standardization, or declines.
Own integration speed, reliability, launch rate, payment volume, revenue, and partner expansion.

Requirements

A track record of scaling an API product, developer platform, or API-led business.
Strong judgment regarding developer experience and reliable, secure integrations.
Technical fluency in APIs, data models, distributed or financial systems, and architecture tradeoffs.
Credibility in partner discovery, executive pitches, and solution planning.
Commercial judgment connecting product roadmaps to adoption, payment volume, and revenue.
A founder or GM mindset, capable of moving from ambiguous strategy to launch-level detail.
Exceptional communication and influence skills across technical, business, risk, compliance, and external teams.
Fintech, payments, issuing, or embedded-finance experience is preferred but not required.
