About the Role

Version 1 is seeking a Senior Oracle Cloud Financials Functional Consultant to lead high-impact finance transformation programs for major organizations. This client-facing role involves shaping solutions, guiding decision-making, and acting as a trusted Oracle Cloud advisor, offering ownership, influence, and variety beyond configuration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead flagship Oracle Cloud Financials implementations across modules including GL, AP, AR, Cash Management, Tax, Subledger Accounting, Procurement, Assets, and Expenses.
  • Own the functional journey end-to-end — from Proof of Concept through go-live and post-implementation optimisation.
  • Work directly with senior stakeholders, influencing how modern finance functions are designed and delivered.
  • Play a key role in an award-winning Oracle practice known for delivery excellence and innovation.
  • Lead and deliver core Oracle Cloud Financials workstreams on enterprise programmes.
  • Configure Oracle Cloud instances for client Proofs of Concept and demonstrations.
  • Run requirements gathering, design, and gap analysis workshops.
  • Lead application configuration and solution validation workshops.
  • Drive functional ownership of data migration activities.
  • Drive functional ownership of integrations with peripheral systems.
  • Drive functional ownership of testing strategy, script creation, and UAT support.
  • Deliver high-quality reporting solutions using Oracle Transactional BI (OTBI), Financial Reporting Studio (FRS), and Smart View.
  • Produce clear, high-quality functional documentation using OUM and/or AIM.
  • Support training delivery, knowledge transfer, and post-go-live support.
  • Manage change requests, risks, and client expectations throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Ensure clients are prepared for and adopt Oracle Cloud quarterly releases.
  • Provide clear, structured status updates to project managers and clients.

Requirements

  • Strong, hands-on Oracle Cloud Financials experience across multiple modules: GL, AP, AR, Cash Management, Tax, Subledger Accounting, Procurement, Assets, Expenses.
  • Experience delivering multiple full lifecycle Oracle Cloud Financials implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle Cloud reporting tools: OTBI, Financial Reporting Studio, Smart View.
  • Confident leading workshops, engaging stakeholders, and driving functional decision-making.
  • Experience producing functional specifications to support technical integrations.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams while maintaining quality, pace, and client confidence.
  • Accounting or finance background.
  • Exposure to Oracle EPM modules.
  • Experience with integrations, REST APIs, or complex ERP landscapes.
