About the Role
The Jr Closer supports the Closing Department by completing internal tasks required to keep Closings on track.
Responsibilities
- Request and obtain verbal verifications of employment as required
- Coordinate with insurance agents to request updates or revisions to homeowner’s and/or flood insurance binders
- Request corrections or updated documentation from attorneys related to title work and closing/scheduling packages
- Collaborate with Underwriters and Processors to obtain required file corrections or updates
- Review, scrub, and prepare loan files to ensure readiness for the Closer to complete final closing documents
- Confirm the Initial Closing Disclosure has been issued and acknowledged at least three (3) business days prior to the scheduled closing date.
- Verification that interest rates and all other required documents remain valid through the scheduled closing date
- Maintain established service-level expectations by completing assigned tasks within 48 hours or less
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth communication, document flow, and timely completion of business processes
Requirements
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
- Experience working with confidential documents and maintaining accurate records.
- Primarily in an office setting and may be exposed to outdoor conditions.
- Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
