About the Role
London Bridge Child Care Services is seeking a Pedagogical Lead to join the Rowntree team. This role is part of a co-leadership team responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the centre and contributing to the organization's evolution. The Pedagogical Lead will collaborate to cultivate a culture grounded in care and curiosity, shape decision-making processes, and amplify the organization's vision and values.
Responsibilities
- Works with organization and co-lead to support and implement organizational on-boarding
- Supervise, mentor and support educators through collaboration, side by side interactions and working with pedagogical plans
- Models and nurtures reflective practice, promoting critical thinking, engaging with and inspiring others, promoting the building of community, and fostering creative learning environments
- Responsible for planning, implementing and evolving regular pedagogical meetings (e.g., book studies, team meetings, PED talks)
- Participating in leadership meetings, leadership development, and organizational initiatives
- In partnership with the Centre Operations Lead to facilitate the referral process for children or families who require services from outside agencies
- Works in collaboration with the Centre Operational Lead to respond to parent questions, comments, and concerns in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a licensed child care organization required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a leadership position is considered an asset
- Registration “In Good Standing” with the (CECE) College of Early Childhood Educators required
- Demonstrates understanding of CCEYA and Ministry of Education licensing requirements is an asset
- Ability to respond to emergency situations in a professional manner
Skills
- Strong understanding of pedagogical theories, curriculum design, pedagogical documentation, educational research, and best practices
- Demonstrates collaboration and critical thinking skills
- Ability to address culture competence and diversity with others

Salary/Compensations
- $64,188.80 - $77,396.80
