About the Role

London Bridge Child Care Services is seeking a Pedagogical Lead to join the Rowntree team. This role is part of a co-leadership team responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the centre and contributing to the organization's evolution. The Pedagogical Lead will collaborate to cultivate a culture grounded in care and curiosity, shape decision-making processes, and amplify the organization's vision and values.

Responsibilities

Works with organization and co-lead to support and implement organizational on-boarding
Supervise, mentor and support educators through collaboration, side by side interactions and working with pedagogical plans
Models and nurtures reflective practice, promoting critical thinking, engaging with and inspiring others, promoting the building of community, and fostering creative learning environments
Responsible for planning, implementing and evolving regular pedagogical meetings (e.g., book studies, team meetings, PED talks)
Participating in leadership meetings, leadership development, and organizational initiatives
In partnership with the Centre Operations Lead to facilitate the referral process for children or families who require services from outside agencies
Works in collaboration with the Centre Operational Lead to respond to parent questions, comments, and concerns in a timely and professional manner

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of work experience in a licensed child care organization required
Minimum 1 year of experience in a leadership position is considered an asset
Registration “In Good Standing” with the (CECE) College of Early Childhood Educators required
Demonstrates understanding of CCEYA and Ministry of Education licensing requirements is an asset
Ability to respond to emergency situations in a professional manner

Skills

Strong understanding of pedagogical theories, curriculum design, pedagogical documentation, educational research, and best practices
Demonstrates collaboration and critical thinking skills
Ability to address culture competence and diversity with others

$64,188.80 - $77,396.80
