About the Role

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to join the Payroll Department. PAGNY is a large physician group affiliated with NYC Health + Hospitals, serving diverse communities across New York City.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, audit, and transmit bi-weekly payroll.
  • Review timecards and respond to employee inquiries.
  • Process employee reimbursements as needed.
  • Process union dues and union pension reports.
  • Ensure adherence to payroll laws, compliance, confidentiality, and union requirements.
  • Maintain an accurate and timely schedule for payroll data reporting and processing.
  • Assist with new payroll system setups.
  • Assist in training and compliance of Payroll Department staff.
  • Support and interact with Operations and HR at all Affiliates.
  • Develop reports requested by Affiliates.
  • Review cross-departmental impacts and reconcile data sharing.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience in various payroll operations (timecard review, pay code audit, PTO accrual settings, retroactive pay calculations for salary increases, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Payroll laws, confidentiality, and compliance requirements.
  • Possible travel once every other week to Affiliates in the Bronx, Manhattan, and Brooklyn.

Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of Paycom and its associated modules is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets (VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables).
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • $85,000.00 - $85,000.00 Salary/year
