About the Role
Altis is seeking an Associate, People & Operations to manage the operational logistics of our Toronto office. This role supports senior leadership, oversees office life, team events, and hiring processes, acting as the backbone for a fast-moving company. The ideal candidate is a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and evolving responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the senior leadership team, including calendar management, meeting scheduling, and travel coordination.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Toronto office, managing inventory, vendor relationships, and general office upkeep.
- Plan and execute team events, offsites, and celebrations, handling logistics and budget tracking.
- Support hiring and onboarding processes, including interview scheduling, candidate communication, and new-hire logistics.
- Provide light HR administrative support, such as maintaining employee records and assisting with company policies.
- Assist with light IT and compliance needs, including equipment organization and information gathering for audits.
- Undertake light marketing tasks, such as updating website content and drafting social media posts.
- Take on ad hoc projects and administrative tasks to support the broader team.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience supporting senior leaders in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated self-starter attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience supporting hiring and HR processes.
- Experience coordinating with external vendors.
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools for work efficiency.
- Basic familiarity with website content management systems and social media platforms, or a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work from our Toronto office 2–3 days per week.
