About the Role
Cayenta is seeking an Application Consultant to support strategic IT transformation for utility clients. This role acts as a liaison between Operations, R&D, and clients, requiring product expertise and client process advisory for utility CIS implementations. The position is project-driven, supporting a variety of services for clients implementing and optimizing Cayenta CIS solutions.
Responsibilities
- Implement and manage superior utility CIS technology solutions.
- Provide implementation support to new clients, guiding them through the process, ensuring completion, and resolving issues.
- Train users on system setup, administration, and maintenance.
- Perform business analysis, including gap analysis, root cause analysis, business process reviews, and requirements elicitation.
- Configure applications based on client business needs and best practices, understanding utility business processes.
- Manage the user acceptance testing and change management process, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
- Create user and handover documentation for support staff.
- Identify opportunities to recommend additional products and services to clients.
- Support Project Managers in managing engagement contracts, escalating bottlenecks, and providing project updates.
- Deliver implementation services efficiently to meet project milestones and support resource utilization.
- Provide subject matter expertise to R&D and operational groups by understanding market trends and client needs.
Requirements
- Problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Willingness to work at all levels of the client organization.
- Experience working with both business and IT groups, preferably in utility CIS implementation or enterprise software.
- Curiosity and willingness to adopt emerging AI tools for workflow improvement, problem-solving, and efficiency.
- Comfort using AI-enabled tools such as Copilot, chat-based AI, and automation solutions.
- Ability to travel an average of 50% of the time within North America.
- Must hold a current, valid passport and be legally eligible to travel internationally, including any required travel visas for entry into Canada, the United States, and the Caribbean.
