About the Role
The Senior Product Manager leads product strategy, roadmap, and execution for a defined product area, managing it throughout the full Product Lifecycle. This role carries expanded client exposure, regularly leading roadmap discussions and business reviews directly with strategic customers and partners, and may mentor or directly manage other Product Managers. This position collaborates closely with Sales, Marketing, and Support teams to drive revenue growth and achieve customer satisfaction objectives.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with engineering teams and product personnel to support timely product delivery and effective resource utilization.
- Communicate value and product improvements to prospective and active customers via writing product announcements.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to support growth initiatives and cross-functional alignment.
- Act as a product subject matter expert, providing product demos and training sessions to build awareness and understanding.
- Drive product launches including working with marketing, executives, and other product team members.
- Work with customers and sales to help define roadmap features and prioritize them.
- Own and lead client-facing roadmap discussions and executive business reviews for key strategic accounts.
- Develop best practices and policies within your own product area while also collaborating with related stakeholders.
- Mentor and provide guidance to Product Managers and/or Associate Product Managers, with potential direct people management responsibility.
- Translate customer feedback into actionable product improvement requirements.
- Responsible for writing detailed requirements and user stories for features.
- Serve as product expert and collaborate with architecture and development to define and document complete product requirements for new features and enhancements.
- Ensure maintenance and accuracy of our detailed internal roadmaps and sales/client facing roadmap.
- Develop an understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and recommend new ideas and enhancements.
- Develop methods for gaining insight into the customer experience through interviews, surveys and development/maintenance of customer resources.
- Support design consistency and standardization of components for the entire product.
- Maintain knowledge of competitive products, market trends, and positioning strategies.
- Create customer value case studies.
- Create product marketing collateral and content.
- Own end-to-end strategy and prioritization decisions for an assigned product area with a high degree of autonomy.
- May work on special projects or other duties as assigned.
- Manages a team of direct reports, including Product Managers and/or Associate Product Managers.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for key strategic client accounts.
- Communicates with external vendors and service providers as needed.
- Contributes to budget planning, manages elements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree related to Business, Computer Science, or MIS college or university degree required.
- 8-10 years product experience with B2B software products.
- Required experience with healthcare or workforce management.
- 5-7 years’ experience immersed in the full product lifecycle in an Agile environment.
- Prior experience mentoring or managing other Product Managers preferred.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or managing product management staff preferred.
Skills
