About the Role
As a remote interpreter, you will facilitate communication between KAREN and English speakers, processing information quickly and accurately in a professional manner. A quiet and secure environment is essential.
Responsibilities
- Render correct concepts and meanings according to interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions or additions.
- Explain certain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with permission or at the request of the client.
Requirements
- Fluency in English and KAREN
- Minimum 1 year interpretation experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent listening, retention and note taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.
- Computer or Laptop
- Windows 10 or higher
- USB Wired headset
- Steady wired internet connection
- Based on your location, language testing, background check and/or drug screen may be required
