About the Role
You will work closely with the Global Head of Private Equity Investments, Fidelity’s Portfolio Managers, and Research Analysts to recommend and implement mid-to-late-stage Venture Growth investments in the semiconductor and technology hardware sectors. You will collaborate with Founders, CEOs, CFOs, Board Members, other venture capital investors, and your network to source investment ideas, and lead diligence and investment recommendations for private companies in these sectors.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with Entrepreneurs/Founders/CEOs, other Venture Capital investors and counterparts to ensure a continued pipeline of opportunities for Fidelity Funds and Venture Growth strategies.
- Perform deep due diligence and recommendations of investment opportunities, including financial modeling and valuation analysis.
- Develop deep partnerships with Fidelity’s investment teams, including building trust with Fidelity Portfolio Managers and collaborating with public side Research Analysts.
- Maintain positive relationships with portfolio companies and serve as a trusted partner, occasionally as a Board Observer.
- Review terms of each venture capital investment, collaborating with legal on documentation, and ongoing maintenance and information flow for Fair Value purposes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience investing in or analyzing private or public equity securities in the semiconductor/technology hardware sectors is a pre-requisite, with a preference for growth equity or venture capital experience.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, coupled with the highest level of personal and professional integrity.
- Confidence and maturity to engage with internal and external partners such as Company Founders and Board Members, as well as Venture Capital and Strategic investors.
- Intellectually curious about the private company / venture capital ecosystem with very high levels of initiative and motivation.
